DATS – DIGITAL ACCIDENT TACTICS SQUAD


DATS, or the "Digital Accident Tactics Squad" is an organization of Tamers and Digimon dedicated to keeping the peace in the Digital World. Based on an organization from its founders' original Digital World, DATS was established in this reality with support from various Area Leaders. Once operating solely out of the Royal Base, DATS has two main branches of operation in Neon City and Sanctity.

DATS' primary supporters are Vikemon, Clavis Angemon and Valkyrimon, SaberLeomon, Tankdramon of Neon City, and JewelBeemon of the Royal Base. It has three chief Commanders named Daimon Suguru, Satsuma Rentarou, and Takamachi Nanoha. There are three Vice-Commanders, named Ivan, Hiroshi Yushima, and Vent, the latter of whom oversees the Neon Branch. From there, DATS is divided into several divisions, which are overseen by Captains and comprised of regular agents.

BASES


DATS' Headquarters is located in Sanctity, and they have a field office in Neon City. Both bases contain extensive facilities for training and exercise, a cafeteria, crime labs, a main headquarters for the day-to-day operations of the organization and in which to make operational decisions. In addition, the base in Sanctity contains living quarters for agents. Both bases also contain a detainment facility for criminals captured by DATS as well.

DIVISIONS


Each member of DATS is sorted into one of several different divisions, all of which exist to handle different circumstances. A DATS agent may belong to more than one division, but in times of trouble, they are expected to operate where they are most needed or where they have been ordered to serve by a superior.

The divisions are:

  • Heavy Response: For high-danger matters that require the use of excessive brute force. The Heavy Division may operate on its own, or have its members called upon for operations that require a particularly powerful partner-and-tamer combination.
  • General Response: Members of DATS that respond to or are assigned to general threats and crimes that require effective combatants but no specialized response.
  • Tactical/Covert: A division specializing in circumstances that involve a particular strategic response or covert operations.
  • Investigations: Focused on the investigation of criminal acts and the pursuit of those who have evaded justice or are a particular threat to the Digital World.
  • Support/Technical: Agents who aid behind the scenes, either in regards to research and development, maintenance, operation management, office assistance, and so on.
  • Medical: The division focused on emergency response for the injured, Agents or otherwise, as well as battlefield medicine and aid.
  • Reserves: Agents not on active duty, but who may be called upon to aid DATS if and when the need should arise.
